Historical Draped/Tailored Garments

A beautiful tailored silhouette designed by Charles James in 1951 in America.  The 'arc sleeve' was a hallmark of Mr. James's.  I LOVE IT

Tailored dress from America in the 1920's...  Androgynous ladies celebrating their own civil liberties to dress how they wished... pretty amazing pic I think...

This image is of Persian Noblemen from ancient times.  Their clothes look heavily influenced from ancient Greek/Roman dress (the multiple-layered cloth look) which makes sense, for they were probably conquered by the Greeks or Romans in those times...

From Derek Lam's Fall/Winter 2009 collection-
A beautifully draped dress mixed with a tailored lower-half.  This gives a more flattering shape, I believe, than just a fully-draped gown.

Masai Men in Native dress...  Present day, although still very traditional draping style... the man in the middle has two watches on haha...
